- To access, edit and manage your pages, select the ‘Pages’ tab on the left hand side of your screen.
What is the difference between a post and a page?
- Posts appear in reverse-chronological order (the most recent appearing first) and are ideal for recent updates, news, and events.
- Pages are like different sections, or chapters of your website, and are ideal for important information (i.e, “Contact,” “About” etc.)
Add, Edit and Delete Pages:
- To add a new page, select ‘Add New’ from the left hand side of your screen.
- Now you can enter the title and content of your page, and add media.
- Each new page you create will be recognized as a ‘Main Page’ by default.
- You can make any number of your pages ‘subordinate’ pages by going to the ‘Attributes’ section on the right hand side of your screen.
- To make a page ‘subordinate,’ simply choose it’s ‘parent’ page from the drop down menu. Subordinate pages will not show up in the main menu of pages on your website, but they will be visible when someone visits the parent page. Example:
Main Page: About Me
– Sub Page 1: My Family
– Sub Page 2: My Career
- Hover your mouse over the title of the page to select ‘Edit,’ ‘View,’ or ‘Delete.’
- Don’t forget to press Update Page when you’re done!
